Your Cardano.
Your node.
Your control.
A full-node, self-custody desktop wallet for people who want to verify the Cardano ledger independently—not simply trust someone else’s view.
Don’t just see the ledger.
Verify it.
A wallet interface is only a representation. Daedalus runs the Cardano stack locally so your view of spendable assets is derived from a chain your machine has validated.
Full-node validation
Runs Cardano node and wallet services locally, independently validating blocks and transactions instead of trusting a hosted balance server.
True self-custody
Your signing keys remain under your control. Daedalus cannot recover a lost phrase, reverse a payment, or move funds on your behalf.
Cardano-native assets
Manage ADA, genuine Cardano-native fungible tokens, stablecoins, NFTs, and Cardano-issued representations of bridged assets.
Stake & participate
Delegate ADA, track rewards, and participate in Cardano governance from the same independently verified wallet environment.
One action.
Four clear trust boundaries.
Your keys authorize an action. Your local wallet builds it. Your node validates and relays it. The network settles it.
Review wallets, assets, staking, governance and every transaction detail.
Discovers addresses and UTXOs, selects coins and builds transactions locally.
Validates chain data, maintains local state and submits signed transactions.
Shares blocks and transactions across the decentralized network.
Independence has a footprint.
A full node is deliberately more demanding than a light wallet. Plan for synchronization time, a growing local database, stable connectivity and routine maintenance.

Local validation changes trust.
It does not remove risk.
The strongest setup combines a maintained dedicated computer, a compatible Ledger or Trezor device, and an offline recovery backup.
Know what you’re
running.
Daedalus is best understood as a specialized Cardano workstation—not an exchange, cloud account, mobile wallet, or multi-chain dApp browser.
Is Daedalus a web or mobile wallet?+
No. Daedalus is a desktop full-node wallet for Windows, macOS and Linux. Any mobile app claiming to be Daedalus should be treated as fraudulent.
Which cryptocurrencies are supported?+
ADA and genuine Cardano-native assets are supported. Native BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, DOGE and Tron balances are not.
Does a full node make my recovery phrase safe?+
No. Local validation improves data autonomy, but malware, phishing, physical compromise and user error can still expose keys. Keep recovery material offline.
Why does the wallet need so much storage?+
Daedalus keeps and validates a local Cardano node database. The current operational target is 250–300 GB of free space, and that requirement grows over time.
